One Health Postdoctoral Researchers

Funding is available for interdisciplinary teams of University of Arizona researchers to support postdoctoral scientists or scholars. As with the pilot grants, the funding should generate preliminary data that make the teams competitive for major external awards.

University of Arizona Cancer Center Postdoctoral Research Associate

The University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) is a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer through patient care, research, and education. The laboratories of Dr. Jennifer Carew, Dr. Gregory Rogers, and Dr. Noel Warfel seek a talented Postdoctoral Research Associate to join their team to pursue innovative research projects that encompass cancer and One Health issues. One Health is a collaborative, multisectoral, and transdisciplinary approach with the goal of achieving optimal health outcomes, recognizing the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and independent individual with an established track record of cancer-focused research achievement (basic, translational, or clinical). Candidates must have completed projects with a One Health focus at the intersection of environmental, human, and animal health, with at least two elements integral to the project. Interested applicants should have an MD or PhD in biomedical sciences, and expertise in cancer biology, chemistry, and/or molecular and cellular biology laboratory techniques.
