In this Department of Translational Neurosciences guest seminar, William Zeiger, MD, PhD, from the University of California, Los Angeles, will deliver a talk titled "Mechanisms of somatosensory cortical map plasticity in the healthy and stroke-injured brain."

William Zeiger, MD, PhD
Assistant Professor-in-Residence, Department of Neurology, University of California - Los Angeles

As a faculty member since 2020, Dr. Zeiger has spent 15 percent to 20 percent of his time performing clinical care, with a focus on the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson’s disease and atypical Parkinsonian disorders. He dedicates the remainder of his time to translational neuroscience research, specifically investigating how changes in neural circuits drive symptoms of neurological disease and how neural circuits can be modulated to treat symptoms and disease progression.
